Uni Air was established in 1998 when Makung International Airlines(former name of Uni Air), Great China Airlines and Taiwan Airways merged. The airline is a domestic and regional subsidiary of EVA Air. It has had the largest market share in the domestic Taiwan market in recent years, and has expanded into international flight.
