- A-Ma Temple - a famous temple by the bay which is a dedication to a goddess who appeared as a poor girl.
- Kun lam Tong a 13th century Buddhist temple dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Judging from its architecture and design, It is said to be one of the largest and by far the richest temple of Macau with several porcelains, statues, and gardens to see.
- Lin Fung Miu or Temple of Lotus - although the original structure dates back to 1592, what is seen now is a result of several renovation. To be seen are altars, a pond with lotus, and a courtyard. The temple had also housed several dignitaries from the mainland especially Guangdong.
- Lin Kai Miu or Stream of Mourning Temple - a 17th century Buddhist temple with several altars dedicated to various gods and goddesses. The main hall is dedicated to Ua Kuong the god who protects from fire. It is located in Estrada do Repouso in Patane District where a flee market is sometimes held.
- Hong Kung Miu an 18th century temple situated in a market square between Rua das Estalagens and Rua de Cinco de Outubro. The present day temple is a result of various restorations and is not the original one.
- Pou Tai Un - a 19th century temple located on Taipa Island. It was founded by monks and devotees had helped in improving and expanding it. The temple has a cafe where vegetarian food is served, the fresh vegetables coming from the garden that the monks cultivate.
- Tou Tei Miu a small temple dedicated to one of the gods that protect the neighborhood. Located in Rua das Palmeiras.
- Tam Kung Miu a Taoist temple dedicated to the sea farer god Tam Kung. To be seen is an image of the god, a dragon boat model made from whalebone, a mural. There are two other temples nearby dedicated to Tin Hau.
- Tai Soi Mui or Temple of the Sleeping Buddha this temple, which is more than 2 century old, has several images and statues, the most visited of which by women is the goddess of fertility and child rearing. The main altar has an image of the sleeping Buddha.
- Sam Kai Vui Kun (Kuan Tai Temple) - the site around it was once a famous bazaar and a Chinese trading center. The Bazaar eventually declined but the popularity of the temple arose. Location is at Rua Sui do Mercado de São Domingos.
- Na Tcha Temple a very simply built and small temple built in 1888 and dedicated to the god Na Tcha to ask for protection from the spreading plague. Despite the simplicity in materials, the design is quite exquisite.
