The only international Airport of the country is the Bandaranaike International Airport, about 22 kms north of the commercial capital, Colombo. Although the airport is civilian, the Sri Lanka Airforce is beside it, thus the greater risk and need for caution.

Aside from the four major ports, Sri Lanka has about 430 inland waterways.
