A country rich and proud of its culture, South Korea celebrates yearly various festivities to highlight numerous traditions and talents. Organizers of events announce almost monthly an upcoming event related to music, dancing and the still arts.

15th till February 15 :: Icefish Festival held in Soyangho Lake in Inje, Gangwon-do . Various activities on ice are held for families to enjoy.

28th :: Yi Sun-Shin Sacred Hero Festival
Insadong Festival - held during the months of October and April, to offer visitors a taste of traditional Korean culture by various dance performances, musical entertainment and other events.
Usually falls between start of April to end of May :: Lotus Lantern Festival - celebrated to commemorate the birth of Buddha. Usually to be seen are a display of lanterns in Bongeun-sa Temple and a procession of lanterns in on back of trucks, and those carried by locals wearing there traditional costumes.

The Hadong Mountain Dew Tea Cultural Festival held at Ssangyesa Temple around Saemigol Doyoji
Hansan Ramie Fabric Festival held around Hansan Mosi Fabric Hall in Jihyeon-ri, Hansan-myeon, Seocheon-gun, Chungxheongnam-do. (Exhibition Hall charges an admission fee.)

til June :: Chuncheon International Mime Festival held in Mime House, Chuncheon Culture and Arts Center, Chuncheon Puppet Theater, and Dokkaebi Island in chuncheon, Gangwon-do
til June :: Dano Festival - a traditional food celebration wherein food is offered with prayer in hope of a bountiful harvest in the coming year. This is a great opportunity for foreigners to sample local food and witness live cultural entertainment. Major venue is in Namsangol Hanok, Seoul.

July 10- July 13 :: Seoul Auto Salon - To be held in COEX Atlantic Hall, Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. World-famous auto racing companies flaunt their "toys" in this auto fair.
July 12- July 20 :: Boryeong Mud Festival - It will be held in Daecheon Beach, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do. It a great way to get dirty and enjoy the good nutrients from the mud which is believed to have healing powers.
July 18- July 27 :: PiFan (Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival). It will be held in Boksalgol Cultural Center, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. The movies shown would come from all over the world. It's a great opportunity to meet some directors and movie critiques.
July 25 - July 27 :: Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival - It will be held in Songdo Daewoo Motors Field, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon City. Various international rock artists will participate in this outdoor concert. Tours and other cultural activities are also arranged for tourists.

14th to 1t of Sept. :: 9th Seoul Fringe Festival - A versatile art festival of various Asian artists. The main event involves Music Festival, Visual Arts Festival, and Street Festival.
September
13th-15th :: Chuseok Festival - a three day-celebration in thanksgiving for a good harvest.
28th-30th :: CheongGyeCheon Festival a celebration in commemoration of the resuscitation of the natural waterway in Seoul.

mid October :: Kimchi Festival in Gwangju
early Oct. :: Andong Mask Dance Festival in Andong

Seoul Drum Festival - A presentation of traditional Korean drumming admixed with percussions used in other parts of the world. Usually done in Seoul on the month of October.
