Phuket is the biggest island of Thailand located in the southern part, in the Andaman Sea. The name "Phuket" is actually derived from the Malay term, bukit which means mountain or hill. Indeed the island is mostly mountainous aside from the island having the shape of a mountain. Aside from several beaches there are coral islands which are conducive for diving.

Robinson's Ocean Department Store - The one stop store for locals and tourists where you can find in its five storey building a supermarket, fast foods and restaurants, and some outlets of famous shops. It opens 10:30 a.m. to 10 pm Mondays to Sundays. Location is at Tilok U-Thit Road Phuket 83000 Thailand
Canal Village Shopping Center - A shop to buy your souvenirs and gifts, including the famous Jim Thompson Thai silks. It has also some food stalls where you can satisfy your hunger after a tiring day. Opening hours is 10 am to 10 pm daily. It is located near Laguna Beach resort at 390/1 Moo 1, Srisoonthorn, Chengtaley,Phuket 83110 Thailand
Phuket Town Night Markets - It is built near Robinsons Dept. Store. More the things that are worth spending on are the inexpensive food of Chinese, Thai or Muslim cuisine. It opens at 5pm onwards.

Baan Rim Pa Piano Bar and Restaurant- One of three restaurants belonging to Baan Ri Pa Restaurant group which specializes in Thai food. It is set atop a hill with a good view of Kalim and Patong Bay. Not just food but the drinks and cocktails are award winning as well.
