Page Layouts

For convenience of editing and for consistency in the format of providing information, page layout for various purposes have been provided. You can click on which you may want to add and you can simply copy and paste then do the necessary editing.
The countries for Asia have been added already in the main page. Some pages which may not have been started yet (those in red fonts) can follow on this format. In the course of time that some new countries may arise due to division or acquisition, the country's name should be added in the main page listing and editing started from there.
Towns becomes cities, minor cities become major ones...no one can tell where development will strike next. Wikiasiantravel encompasses flexibility for these changes. The use of layout makes it easy to update the information. You may go to the respective country, click on Tourists' Spots edit button at the right side. Look for the portion of key cities. Type the city's name between double brackets. Example : [[Example City]] . Click on box for Show Preview or press ALT+P to see if necessary editing on spacing is needed. If it is done right, type on summary - added (Example City) in key cities then click Save Page button or press ALT+S. When you view the page, you will see the added city in red font. Click on it and you are ready to start the page. Copy paste information from City Page Layout and do the necessary adding and editing of information.
You may also check the city's name in the Directory of Cities and Towns and start on the names in red fonts. This same layout can also be used for the towns or municipalities.
Some places may not be appropriate to be placed in key cities but they are primary tourist destinations. Examples of which are islands, villages, or highlands. If they can be classified into one group, example islands, the subheading Other Destination can be replaced by something like Island Tour or for highlands, Highland Adventure. Although Wikiasiantravel promotes uniformity, it does not limit the creativity of the contributor/editor. What is necessary is that the vital information is provided for travelers at utmost convenience and can be easily understood. In cases where the destinations are varied, then it is better to retain Other Destinations. In case the destinations are numerous then they can be subdivided into Themed Vacations and subcategorized. Example is done in the page for Malaysia

The Flight Directory of WikiAsianTravel provides a listing of airlines according to the country in which they are found. Clicking on the Airlines' name will direct one to a page with details of the airline. This layout will help in making new pages for additional airlines. However, just like the other layouts and in coherence to the idea of wiki democracy, this layout is flexible and is subject to improvisation and changes.
