Khao Sok National Park

This park is found on the mountain ridges that separates Thailand to east and west cost. You will be seeing forests, caves,waterfalls an artificial lake along the way. Among the mammals to be seen are monkeys, langur, wild boar, deer, bears, rhinos or even tigers. There are also several bird and reptile species and insects as well. The Park may provide a lodge for one’s accomodation if properly arranged with them. A campsite is also available for 30 THB but you would have to bring the equipments for setting up tents. Some private establishments also offer tree houses.
Getting there:
From Surat Thani Town, go along Highway 401 (Surat Thani- Takua Pa Route). Turn right at Km 109 and go a further 1.5 km to reach the national park office.
