Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur is one of three cities set in the Kathmandu Valley. Like the two other cities, Kathmandu and Patan, Bhaktapur also has a Durbar Square. The city is famous for its curd, commonly known as Juju Dhau. Many tourists pick Bhaktapur as an alternative city for a stay in Nepal.

There are many workshops around the main squares of Bhaktapur selling different kinds of products that are ideal souvenirs. Some popular items in Bhaktapur are wood carvings, metal works and terracotta. Bhaktapur also produces traditional masks sold across Nepal. Thangkas paintings may also be found around the area. There is an open display of pottery around the Potter's Square, a short walk from the Durbar Square. A taste of the famous juju dhau, also know as the king of curd, may also spike interest in tourists.

- Cafe de Temple Town - a dining place with a good view of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. They serve Indian cuisine.

- Momo Max - an inexpensive dining spot where you can grab local and western food. They are famous for their Momo, a type of dumpling. Finding the place is a minor problem since it is popular place among tourists. It is around Central Bhaktapur, near the Himalaya's Guest House.
- Nyatapola cafe - a cafe located in a former temple overlooking the area. It is great for witnessing the life in Taumadhi Tole underneath and an excellent view of the Nyatapola Temple.
